Kerikeri

Yesterday we left the Bay of Islands and headed west for the Tasman sea and the Kauri (sounds like "Cody") forests. Before we left we went took a morning walk and headed off to Kerikeri. This has the oldest home and the oldest block building left in New Zealand plus a pretty old church. The buildings go back to the early 1800's. While in the area we went to an amazing waterfalls, rainbow falls. While watching the falls a drone flew over the top and hovered several minutes. I was sure it had CIA on the side. But we located the owner. He works for Google and takes his photographic GPS equipped drone out for fun on his travels. You are going to hear a lot about our Kauri forest walks but I will save that for later when I have downloaded the photos. The last photo is of a parrot from Australia that was passing through the hood.
