We made it to The Bay of Plenty and hooked up with Caroline Dymock. What a special day, walking up this hill with beaches, boats and ship all around us. All this with our special guide Caro. Before we got here we also took a hike to a trout pool and a boiling waterfall that supposedly spits out rafters after a 10 foot waterfall. The river is full of biting eels that can be 6 feet long and 6" or so around. Is that crazy or what? Tomorrow were off to Gisborne to visit Caro's parents who we had a great talk with via Skype about life and the Camino. They walked a portion of the Camino de Santiago last spring.
